Welcome to Tokitoki. These Terms of Service govern your rights and obligations when you access or use the Tokitoki website, dashboard, API, desktop clients, plugins, badges, leaderboards, and related services. Tokitoki is operated by an independent developer.

By using Tokitoki, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

About the Service

Tokitoki helps developers record and analyze AI coding activity, including session time, token usage, cost estimates, per-project statistics, leaderboards, and badges. Specific features may change as the product evolves.

Some clients or plugins may be open-source software. Use of the open-source code is additionally governed by the license of the corresponding repository; the online service, accounts, sync, paid features, and hosting remain governed by these terms.

Accounts and Security

You must provide a real, working email address or third-party sign-in credentials to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account, password, sessions, and API keys secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account, password, or an API key may have been compromised, reset the affected credentials immediately and contact us. We may temporarily restrict accounts, API keys, or related features when we detect anomalies, abuse, or security risks.

Data Uploads and Content

You retain your rights to the data you upload or generate. You grant Tokitoki the limited permissions needed to provide, maintain, protect, and improve the service, covering your account information, project statistics, usage events, device information, and visibility settings.

Do not upload data you are not entitled to process, and do not deliberately upload source code, trade secrets, sensitive personal information, unlawful content, or third-party confidential information. Tokitoki's statistics do not require file contents or the text of AI conversations.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Break, bypass, scan, attack, or interfere with the service, databases, API, authentication, or payment systems.
  • Abuse the API, register accounts in bulk, send spam requests, or evade rate limits.
  • Use the service to violate others' privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights.
  • Upload malware, unlawful content, or data you are not entitled to process.
  • Reverse engineer non-open-source parts, or bypass payment, permission, visibility, or security controls.
  • Use the service in any way that may harm Tokitoki, other users, or third parties.

Public Features

Leaderboards, public profiles, project badges, and share links may publicly display your display name, avatar, coding time, project names, languages, rankings, or other information you choose to make public. Content that is private by default does not become public just because you registered an account. You should make sure your visibility settings comply with the requirements of your team, employer, or projects.

Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Some features may require payment. Prices, plans, billing cycles, and feature scope are as shown on the purchase page. Payments may be processed by third-party payment services such as Stripe and are subject to their terms.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless you cancel before the end of the current billing cycle. After cancellation, you can generally keep using the service until the paid period ends; unless required by applicable law or stated otherwise on the purchase page, paid fees are not guaranteed to be refunded pro rata.

We may adjust prices or plans. For changes that materially affect existing subscriptions, we will give reasonable advance notice.

Changes, Interruptions, and Termination

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service stable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

You may stop using the service or request account deletion at any time. If you violate these terms, create security risks, fail to pay fees, abuse the service, or break the law, we may suspend or terminate your access and retain relevant records to the extent reasonably necessary for security, billing, compliance, or dispute handling.

Third-Party Services

Tokitoki may integrate Google sign-in, Stripe payments, email services, hosting, databases, open-source packages, or other third-party services. Third-party services are the responsibility of their providers and may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Disclaimer

Tokitoki is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties regarding the service's continuity, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

The cost, duration, language, and project statistics Tokitoki displays may depend on clients, model providers, network conditions, and upload quality, and may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete. You should not rely solely on these statistics for financial, employment, compliance, or other significant decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tokitoki and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Where applicable law does not allow a full exclusion of liability, our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid to Tokitoki in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the liability, or 100 US dollars if you have not paid.

Indemnification

If your violation of these terms, unlawful use of the service, upload of data you are not entitled to process, or infringement of third-party rights results in claims, losses, fines, costs, or expenses asserted against Tokitoki by a third party, you agree to bear the corresponding responsibility to the extent permitted by law.

Governing Law and Disputes

Except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence provides otherwise, these terms are interpreted under the law of the place where the service operator is located. In the event of a dispute, both parties should first communicate in good faith via [email protected].

Updates to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the website, in-product notices, or email. Continuing to use Tokitoki after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
